Although we don’t love that the posts are made out of plastic, the UV resistance does add a nice touch since it makes the posts less brittle and less likely to wear down and snap after being out in the sun all day.

Another plus side of this electric fence is that it has fluorescent yellow and green strands. This makes it easy to see where your fence is, so you don’t hit it with a weed eater or mower.

Unfortunately, the strands and poles are quite thin, with the clips easily bent under pressure.

Don’t put too much weight on the strands or poles (or too much pressure when trying to insert the stakes in the ground), and you should be fine.

Easy Set-Up

It’s easy to set up, too, with posts that are pre-fastened to the fence. In most cases, you can install it in less than 15 minutes!

Compared to all the other electric fences we tried, this one was by far the fastest to install and move.

You can sometimes move it even faster if you have a second person to help you. It’s a good idea to mow before installing it to make things a bit quicker.

It comes with spiked guy lines that can help prevent the fence from sagging, along with double spiked posts for extra support.

Unfortunately, you must be vigilant about timing the grass and other vegetation along the edge of the fence.

It can lower the current to almost nonexistent levels when it touches the horizontal wires.

This is a super important tip to keep in mind – if you let the charge get down low at any point, you’re in trouble.

Predators learn very quickly when a fence isn’t “hot,” and you don’t want to run the risk of offering them a free buffet!
